Morning Dress

Morning dress is the most traditional daytime wedding attire.

A morning coat is usually paired with grey striped trousers and now often with a pastel coloured waistcoat.

However contemporary versions of this traditional look can include dogtooth or plain trousers with different colour combinations such as a blue or grey coat.

At Trotter & Deane we like to add a contemporary feel to classic looks and our modern cut morning coat with a soft shoulder line is a perfect example.

Tuxedos

Known as black tie, Tuxedos were traditionally midnight blue as this actually looks darker than black in artificial light.

Tuxedos are becoming increasingly popular today as wedding attire. Cut with either a peak lapel or shawl collar these pieces look equally stunning in either a wool barathea, wool and mohair blend or an elegant velvet.

Silk facings are matched throughout from the lapel facings, the pocket jets to the stripe running down the side of the trouser. It’s these details that set the look apart. Made as either a two or three-piece the contemporary Tuxedo looks even more elegant with our soft shoulder and modern silhouette.

Suiting

The classic two or three-piece is the most common choice for grooms. With no rules to adhere to this can be as individual as the person wearing it.

From lightweight luxury Italian wool or silk & linen, for weddings in hot climates, to British tweeds and flannels, for weddings closer to home, you can have exactly the look you want.

Pairing either a tonal or contrasting waistcoat with a two-piece suit is an excellent way to dress up the look but keep a versatile ‘ever smart’ two-piece that can be worn in a multitude of ways after the day.

If you want to add an element of texture or colour this is an ideal way to go.
