Trotter & Deane had the pleasure of partnering with the RA4 Vanguard team for the 2025 Goodwood Revival.
Goodwood Revival never fails to deliver a heady mix of motorsport drama, heritage and spectacle- and this year was no exception for the RA4 Vanguard team. Across three packed days, we shared the circuit with some of the world’s most iconic historic cars and drivers, and the atmosphere reminded us why Revival is such a special event in the racing calendar
A Weekend of Racing Spirit
From the moment the paddock came alive on Friday morning, there was a sense of anticipation in the air. Goodwood’s period dress code, combined with the roar of classic engines, set the scene for a celebration of racing history – and our RA4 Vanguard was right at the heart of it.
The car drew plenty of attention throughout the weekend. Enthusiasts, fellow competitors, and curious visitors alike stopped by to take a closer look, the story behind the project, and the passion that fuels everything the team do.
Challenges on Track
Racing at Goodwood is never straightforward, and this weekend tested both man and machine.
Fridays qualification was drawn short after mechanical failure on lap two, restricting the chance to set a flying lap.
With the team having to rebuild the engine late into the evening, there was a true sense of determination going into Saturday’s racing.
It was a great demonstration of the teamwork that motorsport is all about.
Saturday threw up it’s own challenges, with heavy rain through the night and leading up to the race start.
However, once out on track, the RA4 proved its pace. Moving from the back of the grid up into 11th place was no small achievement, especially given the hurdles faced just hours earlier. With Gareth making the most of his racing pedigree and taking advantage of the conditions to show just how competitive the team can be. It was an incredible turnaround and one of those moments that will stick with us for years to come.
The Revival Experience
Of course, Goodwood Revival isn’t just about racing. It’s about the people, the stories, and the sense of stepping back in time. Walking through the paddocks, seeing the outfits, hearing the music, and sharing the weekend with like-minded enthusiasts was an experience in itself.
Dressing the Team
Dressing the team was a real pleasure for T&D and it was great to be part of the Vanguard team and part of that community.
Representing not only our car but also the dedication of everyone who has supported the project. Revival is about celebrating history while pushing forward, and that balance mirrors the journey we’re on.
To everyone who stopped by, cheered us on, or shared kind words – thank you. Your support makes all the difference, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter with you.
