Formula One commentator to wear Trotter & Deane

December 4th 2019

Formula 1 racing commentator, Ben Edwards will wear Trotter & Deane eveningwear at a prestigious motor racing awards dinner.

Fresh from putting down his microphone for the last time this season as the 2019 F1 Championships came to its conclusion in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, the Channel 4 F1 commentator was in Bury St Edmunds for a final fitting of his tuxedo with owner, John Deane-Bowers ahead of The Guild of Motoring Writers’ annual black tie dinner.

The long-established event is to be held at the Royal Automobile Club on London’s Pall Mall on Thursday and will be attended by the crème de la crème of motoring journalistic talent. Alongside the dinner, the Guild will also present their annual awards, announced by Edwards himself.

With his tailored dinner jacket and trousers, the former racing driver is sure to take pole position in the style stakes.

A regular customer of Trotter & Deane, Edwards can often be seen wearing our garments in the pit lane in his role as the voice of Formula 1 for Channel 4. He joins Sky Sports presenters Nick Knight, Nasser Hussein, Michael Atherton and Freddy Tylicki in wearing T&D at some of the top sporting events in 2019.

Earlier this year, Channel 4 announced a deal with Sky to extend their current broadcast rights deal for the 2020 season, so expect to see more of Trotter & Deane’s contemporary men’s fashion at the world’s greatest race circuits, cricket grounds and racecourses as we start a new decade.
