Spring has sprung..finally!

Gentlemen – Update your wardrobe with an injection of colour this Spring.
Dealing with everything the British weather throws at us (and boy, this winter has been particularly challenging), means mastering the art of layering is essential throughout the year. Spring is a great time to introduce lighter layers, so play around with different colour combinations and don’t be afraid to add a few accent tones.
Investing in a neutral sand coloured jacket gives you the perfect opportunity to start injecting that all important colour to update your wardrobe. Here we’ve gone for a blue palette which contrasts well with the light sand. By adding texture, you ensure that every layer stands out. We’ve added our Italian Dark Wash Jeans, so the look stays more casual and relaxed.
To avoid looking mis-matched – opt for either a darker trouser/Jean with a light jacket or vice versa.
Here are two ways to dress your statement jacket. Taking the colour from the fabric detail (in this case the box-check) and incorporating it with your shirt, layer, etc., means you highlight the accent colour and complement the jacket. We’ve gone with a smarter, more summery style and a layered evening look which perfectly illustrates the versatility of this wardrobe staple.
For evening, why not go for our cotton jacket – loosely fitted and unlined for a soft tailored finish. The addition of our cotton striped waistcoat draws the eye. We’ve finished the look with a silk white pocket square and a blue suede belt. Worn with a smart chino and white shirt, the look is more formal and by keeping the colour palette minimal, the overall effect is unified.
Fine merino crew-necks are perfect at this time of year for adding warmth without bulk and no Spring wardrobe is complete without Italian stretch chinos. Available in a variety of fits, colours and finishes – these make the seasonal transition so effortless.
For those particularly chilly Spring days, opt for a technical blazer, lightweight and waterproof with the addition of a contrast gilet for warmth. Alternatively, a quilted light weight jacket, with a bold printed shirt, keeps you warm without compromising on style. Team both looks with an Italian Slim-fit jean for a comfortable feel.
